One of the controversial issues in the issue of endowment is the discussion of the permissibility or non-permissibility of endowment of money. In this regard, there are views of non-permissibility, doubt in permission, conditional permission and unconditional permission among Shia jurists. This difference exists more or less among the jurists of the four Sunni Sects. Opponents of permissibility as well as doubters have based their view on the reason that in the endowment of money, the money itself does not remain, but is on the path to decay; and as a result, there will be no benefit from such an endowment. On the other hand, the proponents of permissibility believe in maintaining the origin of endowment money and have declared the endowment of money as unimpeded with the assumption of continuous benefit of those to whom it is endowment. Supporters cite some narratives, which is about preserving the object of endowment, but rather its property and its real value, as in Qarḍ al-Ḥasnah and ʿArīyah (loan), the principle is the survival of the object of liquidity and its return to the owners of the property.
