One of the hadiths accepted by all theological schools is the hadith "Whoever dies while not knowing the Imam of his time has died the death of ignorance", which has a special order to know the Imam; in such a way that this knowledge will be the foundation of belief and faith, and as a result, action and commitment. In the meantime, Zaidiyyah scholars, like Imamiyyah scholars, have reflected the hadith of knowledge in various expressions in their jurisprudential, theological and exegetical works and acknowledged its validity. In the following article, an attempt has been made to investigate the validity of this hadith and similar hadiths by Zaidiyyah with a descriptive-analytical method by referring to authentic texts, and then to investigate the views of Zaidiyyah regarding the meaning of hadith. The research and investigation in the books of Zaidiyyah scholars provides the result that from their point of view, this hadith leads to important results such as the necessity of the presence of an Imam at any time, the authenticity of the Imamate, the obligation to obey the Imam and the obligation to know the Imam, and not recognizing and obeying such an Imam requires the death of ignorance, and an excuse is not accepted from the violator.
