The purpose of the present research is to identify the methods of Seyed Nematullah Jazayiri in al-Sharḥ al-Kabīr ʿalá al-Ṣaḥīfat al-Sajādīyyah. The research method is descriptive-analytical. The findings of the research indicate that the method of Seyed Nematullah al-Jazayiri in explaining the supplications of the Ṣaḥīfat al-Sajādīyyah is based on analytical findings from the main text of the prayer and developmental findings based on beyond the text of the prayer. He has paid attention to language levels including lexical knowledge such as etymology, vocabulary recording, vocabulary description, word differences and grammar in the level of receiving based on the main text of prayer, and at the level of rhetoric, he has benefited from the science of meanings, expression and innovation in the description of supplications. Seyed Nematullah al-Jazayiri has tried to reveal the hidden layers of supplications of Ṣaḥīfat al-Sajādīyyah by establishing intertextual relationships at the metatextual level by examining other texts such as the Holy Qur'an and the traditions of the infallible Imams (as). The result is that he has explained of the Sahifah Sajjadiyah by having epistemological and non-epistemological backgrounds based on religion and linguistic, literary, and Quranic knowledge and without following the extreme thoughts of the scholars of his era. |
